Hey Lakers! Today begins the Book Trailer Tuesday! Each week a new book will be
featured for you to consider. Check your Laker Locker for the link and QR code for the
trailer. If interested in reading, stop by the library to grab your copy!
The first Tech Club meeting of the year will happen after school on Monday, September
16 from 2:15-3:00pm, in room 220! Whether you're into gadgets, engineering, or just
love exploring how things work, this is the club for you! Everyone is welcome—no
experience needed. So don’t miss out—mark your calendars and get ready for a
tech-tastic time!
Student Council elections will be held next week for any freshmen interested in joining
their class government. If you are interested, there will be an email and a link in your
Laker Locker with a form to fill out and additional info. If you have any questions email
Mr. Solomon or stop by room 142.
The first meeting of the “All Booked at Apponequet” club will be Tuesday, September
10th at 2:15. Members are encouraged to bring their favorite book from the summer or
their selection from June. Selections for October will also be discussed. New members
are welcome to attend. For more information, please see Mrs. O’Brien in the library.
Mrs. O’Brien is looking for students who are interested in working in the library for
academic credit. Application materials for the Library Media Specialist Student
Internship Program for Semester 1 are available in the library. Deadline for applying is
2:00 pm on Friday, September 20th.
The first meeting of the drama club will be today after school in the auditorium. This is
an informational meeting for anyone interested in any drama including acting and stage
crew in the fall play and spring musical. Hope to see everyone there, especially new
faces!
The 2024 Girls Soccer team begins their defense of the South Coast Conference
Championship today against Conference rival Old Rochester at home. The match kicks
off at 3:45 pm at Apponequet's Griffith Field with pre-game announcements and
National Anthem beginning at 3:30 pm. Come out to support the team.
Attention Seniors! You have a little over one month to submit your yearbook photos and
blurbs! October 11th is the hard deadline and everything needs to be submitted by then.
