Read for Your Rights." This is an annual event that spotlights efforts to ban and restrict
books in our schools and libraries. Visit the library to learn about frequently challenged
books and why defending the freedom to read is so important for us all.

Hey Apponequet! This Friday October 10th is World Mental Health Day. It is a day to
remind everyone that mental health matters just as much as physical health. It’s about
checking in with yourself, supporting your friends, and breaking the stigma around talking
about how we really feel. We’re asking everyone to wear green to show support for
mental wellness. Let’s fill the halls with green to show that our school cares about each
other’s wellbeing — because mental health matters!
