Today is Spread the Word Day! Spread the Word Inclusion is a campaign led by the
Special Olympics. Its goal is to help people understand why it is wrong to use hurtful and
disrespectful language. The campaign encourages everyone to promise (or “pledge”) to
choose respectful language. The campaign was created by young people and it works
with schools, organizations, and communities to get people involved and to promote
kindness, inclusion, and acceptance of people with intellectual and developmental
disabilities. There is a special awareness day globally that is held on the first Wednesday
of every March. Even though many events happen around that day, people can support
the campaign all year long by choosing to be kind and to be inclusive. Stay tuned for more
information on how the LIFE Club will be helping ARHS Spread the Word next week!

The class of 2029 will be holding a volleyball tournament directly after school next
Tuesday, March 10th! Grab 5 to 7 friends and create a team! Check out the flyers around
