We are very excited for this Friday's Career Day! All students will have C and D period
classes, and then will participate in 2 Career Day Presentations for the remainder of the
day. You will receive a pass with your scheduled room numbers. Your counselors are
scheduling you based on your Career Day Survey and info in Schoolinks. Please give
your presenters your undivided attention and respect. See your guidance counselor if you
have any questions!

We’re excited to announce a new Sports Officiating Certification Course available to
students who are interested in sports, leadership, and earning money while staying
connected to the game. Sessions begin January 21st and will be held on Wednesdays
after early release, plus one additional weekday to be announced. Check your Laker
Locker for more information and, if you’re interested in participating, send an email to
Principal Dessert.

Portuguese club is meeting today in room 218 right after school.

The Art, Share, Travel club meeting is today from 2:00 - 3:30. Meet in Ms. Lima's room
after school and please have a ride arranged for 3:30.

Green Team meeting next Tuesday right after school in room 132. Bring a friend and a
Green Idea. Let's kick off the New Year with a big turnout.

Assawompset is looking for volunteers for their winter festival on Saturday, January 31st
from 12:30- 3:30. If interested please stop by the main office for more information.

DECA DECA DECA! Our District Conference is TOMORROW! We need to make sure
everyone is getting our Remind Messages so you are getting all the information. Please
review ALL posts from the previous weeks to make sure you are ready. Meet us in the
Cafeteria tomorrow morning for bag checks. We will start checking bags at 6:30 if you are
able to come in early. Please try to be here between 6:45 and 7:00 at the latest if you
drive yourself. If you are taking the bus, do not worry, just meet us in the cafeteria when
you get dropped off. Looking forward to a great trip!

There will be a brief Debate Club meeting after school today in Room 117. Please come
prepared to share your progress on our current debate.

Any junior or senior interested in the Law Enforcement Internship Program with SRO
Bartholomew can pick up an application in the Guidance Office. The class meets on
scheduled Wednesdays. Students earn 2.5 credits and will complete one project (details
to be announced). Applications are due back to the Main Office by Thursday, January
15th.

Roundtable is meeting this Friday at 10:30 in the group project room.

Apponequet is hosting a Pokemon Card Show on January 3rd, in the cafeteria, with
dozens of vendors, and a pokemon tournament. If you have old cards you want to sell,
bring them to the show! They are also hosting a Pokemon trading card tournament, entry
is 20 dollars. Email Mr. Solomon for more information or if you'd like to enter!

The next All Booked @ Apponequet Book Club meeting will be this Thursday and will be a
combination of Novel Teas and book discussions. Members will also be sharing their
holiday short story. Please have a ride arranged for 2:45. Any questions, see Mrs. O'Brien
in the library.
