Dear Intermediate School Families,
Oddly enough as the temperature gets colder and colder, our piles of left-behind jackets, coats, and sweatshirts have been getting bigger and bigger! Please help us get things back to their owners by encouraging your children to take a close look at the lost and found on the stage in the cafeteria at lunchtime. There are some beautiful articles of clothing just waiting to be reclaimed!
Grade Four ELA:
Students are currently working on close reading and responding-to-text. We are using evidence from the text to support answers and also using the RACE strategy to answer these questions.
Grade Four Math:
This week students are identifying multiples, factors, and building prime and composite number snowmen.
Grade Five ELA:
Students are reading both narrative and informational texts and crafting verbal and written responses that focus on making inferences.
Grade Five Math:
Students are learning how to solve operations with decimals, learning how to stack numbers in order to add and subtract with decimal numbers, as well as how to multiply with decimals.
Nature’s Classroom:
The deadline for deposits is tomorrow, the 16th. We know you will all be grateful to learn that the PTO will be $100 of each registration fee bringing the total cost down to $350. Clothing Drive:
We are so grateful for all the donations of NEW hats, socks, mittens, and scarves! The drive ends tomorrow, if you still wish to donate.
