Dear Intermediate School Families,

Thank you to so many families for supporting our annual Survivor Day with donations of cases of water and by volunteering to help with the activities.  We now have filled all the volunteer slots we needed in each grade!  We are so grateful to our wonderful intermediate school families and to the fabulous PTO board for organizing everything for us.  We will have a wonderful day of fun, healthy competition, and teamwork on the 16th!

A Note from Nature’s Classroom:

The fourth and fifth graders who went to Nature’s Classroom had a blast! Although they may have gotten a little wet, that didn't ruin the fun. They went on hikes in the woods, attended different classes of their choice, and worked on many different team building activities with their field groups. We are sure they are full of stories to share!  Once again, thank you to the PTO for their very generous donation to defray the cost for each family who sent a child.

Happenings at School During Nature’s Classroom:

Fourth graders who stayed at school this past week, visited lots of classrooms and participated in a variety of activities.  The activities included various STEM challenges using fidget spinners, dominos, legos, and plastic bags. They created pet rocks, roller coasters, straw rockets, and learned about the solar system.  It was a fun-filled week of exploration and learning in grade four!

Fifth graders who stayed at school this past week, did a fun mix of STEM based activities. They had the chance to collaborate in small groups on different hands-on tasks and challenges. Students explored engineering through creating domino towers and reactions, they played math games to practice important math skills, and even learned some origami!
