Congratulations! We applaud the following students for their outstanding achievements and recognition from their teachers.

Patriot’s Pen Award Winners - Each year, as part of their Civics curriculum, the 8th grade students at Freetown Lakeville Middle School enter the VFW’s Patriot’s Pen youth essay contest. The contest asks students to connect their own experiences with America’s history in a 300- to 400-word essay.  Congratulations to this year's winners!

- 3rd Place - Ayden Freelove

Project 351 - Project 351 is an initiative developed by Governor Deval Patrick in 2011 and continued by Governor Charlie Baker that unites 8th grade ambassadors from every community in Massachusetts for a “transformative year of leadership development, enrichment, and impact.” An 8th grade ambassador from both Freetown and Lakeville was chosen to represent our communities based on their display of service and the values of “kindness, compassion, humility, and gratitude.” These students are the unsung heroes and quiet leaders within our learning community. This year’s ambassador for Lakeville is Emily Andersen and the ambassador for Freetown is Vincent Karppinen, Jr

Congratulations!

School Club Update

  • Did someone say board games?  Yes they did! Game Afternoon presented by the Freelake Leaders was a great success. Students had a fun time playing games and getting to know each other.

School Sports Update

  • The Apponequet swim program has been approved by the MIAA for 7th & 8th grade students to participate with the high school swim team. There was a preseason meeting at the pool on Thursday 11/10.  Practice starts on Monday, November 28th. All practices are directly after school at the GRAIS pool. Any student with interest should contact Athletic Director Cabucio, jcabucio@freelake.org.
