It was a great first week at Freetown Lakeville Middle School!  The students have done an excellent job of transitioning from the fun and sun in the summer to the structure and engagement of school.  I have observed multiple incidents of students helping one another in the classroom, the lunchroom and at dismissal.

Thank you’s and Kudos

  • A big thanks to the bus drivers for their efforts during this first week.  Their patience and perseverance makes a big difference in our students’ school day.

  • A big thanks to the 6th Grade teachers.  They have been doing an excellent job helping their students get accustomed to a new building and a new schedule.

  • Thank you to all of the staff for their efforts this week.  The students are engaged and excited by the effective instruction taking place throughout the building.

  • We held our first Fire Drill of the year on Wednesday.  The Fire Department was impressed by our students’ behavior throughout the process.
