I would like to formally welcome you to the AM/PM Program. During the past several weeks of getting all the children in order I have become very familiar with the names. I probably know more statistical information than you can imagine. Do you know what’s brewin’... there are over 288 children enrolled in the Program? there are 65 families with 2 or more children? there are 80 students enrolled at FES, 102 at AES, 70 at GRAIS, and 36 at FLMS? there are many Programs offered through Extended Programs-PreK- Plus/Vacation Club/After the Bell/ Score Music Academy/Kids Café Summer Camp? It is probably more information than you care to know but it recognizes that the Extended Program continues to grow due to the communities need for out of school time care for children. The children will be busy in cooking, art, recreation and game time. The special classes take place after home-work somewhere between 4:00-5:30.You never know what’s brewing!!

Inside the FES AM Program
First, let me start by introducing myself. My name is Karen Chretien, or Ms Karen as the students call me. I have been working the morning program for the past 5 years. I have worked at FES for the past 18 years as a paraprofessional in a substantially sub-separate classroom setting.
It is my goal to help your child(ren) start their day on a positive note. During their morning we provide breakfast and encourage them to have a little something to eat before going to class. We also provide a variety of activities/ games for the children to enjoy and “wake up to” throughout their morning with us. Along with these table top activities we always have the opportunity to get our sillies out with using the activities room. While in there the children can ride bikes, play ball and jump on the trampoline. There is also opportunities to play with our kitchen area and food as well!!!
Welcome back to school to all our morning program students!!
I look forward to helping your child(ren) have a positive start to each and every day!!

Hi my name is Meagan Forcier! I am currently a paraprofessional at Assawompset Elementary School. In my free time I enjoy camping, skiing, and spending time with my family and friends. I love working at AES, the staff is amazing and very supportive. My passion is working with elementary students. I hope to instill curiosity and passion for learning in their young minds. Elementary school is a crucial time for students to learn how to manage emotions and develop social skills. Being a role model to all students and creating a nurturing environment where the children feel safe is very important to me.
