Semester 2 has begun and we are halfway through the school year! On Tuesday, all students attended grade level presentations to review academic, social, and behavioral expectations. Students began their Semester 2 classes and we hope to share many of their learning experiences in the months to come. This half of the year will bring us trips to Boston State DECA tournaments and Nationals and a Social Studies sponsored trip to Washington D.C. We are rolling out our 2024-25 Program of Studies and students will choose classes for next year. We will be adding a new tradition to our school year with an overnight “Lock In” for grade 12 and we continue to explore ways to celebrate Laker Nation and engage all of our students.
Two of our students, Elaina Kyne and Mikayla DePaulo, each had an artwork of theirs chosen to be included in the Emerging Young Artists + Designers 2024 Juried Exhibition. There were 808 students from all over New England who entered their work in this highly competitive exhibition, and of those, 199 works were chosen to be included in this online exhibition. The annual exhibit is hosted by the College of Visual and Performing Arts at UMASS Dartmouth. Starting January 26th, the exhibit may be viewed at

This Wednesday was the first annual Apponequet Regional High School blood drive. A group of students hosted a blood drive, with Nurse Bullock and the Red Cross at the Lakeville Public Library from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. They hope to continue these efforts with another blood drive in the Spring.
Colby Blais, Conner Radley, and Elijah Sullivan were accepted to the 2024 MMEA All-State Music Festival. They'll be performing with the All-State Chorus at Symphony Hall in March.

Dear Families,
The health and safety of our students, families and staff are always our top priority.
As we head into the new year, we want to acknowledge that there have been many illnesses this season, and that families have inquired about Covid-19 testing and/or the availability of sending home test kits. In recognition of this, our district nurses have acquired Covid-19 test kits through the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. We would like to offer, to those that may need it, a Covid-19 test kit for their child. The kits can be sent home per parent/guardian request. There is a limited supply and will be given on an as needed basis.
We would like to note that there have been no current changes to practices or guidelines on Covid-19 at this time. Reminder of Driving Instructions for Parents/Guardians
Drop Off - The school opens at 7:00 am and students are supervised in the Lecture Hall until the bell rings at 7:30 am.
Please note that both entrances are open for drop off this year. Vehicles must exit by the same side as they entered and are cautioned to drive carefully as our student drivers enter the building from the parking lot. Please contact the Main Office or SRO Bartholomew with any questions.
Pick Up - We continue to ask parents and guardians to park when arriving for pick up to ensure that cars do not block the bus lanes and Howland Road. If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Main Office or SRO Bartholomew.
