Have a wonderful summer!

October 6, 2017

Greetings Laker Nation,

Our French Exchange students and their teachers from Lycée Hilaire de Chardonnet are scheduled to arrive this week.  Lycée HDC has a 20 year history of successful exchange programs with European schools.  This is their third exchange with ARHS.  French exchange students will attend classes, athletic competitions, field trips and will be a much welcome part of our community.  We look forward to being their hosts!

Varsity Fall Sports Standings: Football 1-3-0 , Field Hockey 4-4-1, Volleyball 7-5-0, Golf 9-4-0, Boys Soccer 0-8-2, Girls Soccer 4-3-1, Boys Cross Country 0-2-1 and Girls Cross Country 0-3-0.  Check our school site calendar for all of our contest schedules and join us for exciting competition!

Our own ARHS Librarian, Mrs. O’Brien, is offering a Library/Media Studies Internship this year.  Interested students should retrieve an application in the Guidance Office.  Completed applications are due by October 10th.

Please follow ARHS on Instagram!  Arhs_laker_nation_grams.  Our Art Department has an Instagram, established last year, that is surely worth following as well.  arhs_arts_n_stuff

Check out the ARHS website. In addition to event and athletic calendars, the site houses our daily announcements.  You can read what the students hear over the PA each day by clicking the tab under the Principal’s Corner.

It is College Fair Season and on Thursday, October 5th, approximately twenty-five college representatives visited ARHS!  They offered information about their schools to our Classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020.  Staff promoted student engagement by wearing their own college gear.  Please visit our site and view information about our up-and-coming College Fairs in the section labeled Flyers, Forms and Notices.

Attention Class of 2018 Parents/Guardians:  Learn the ins and outs of navigating the financial aid process from beginning to end at ARHS’s Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA) College Financing Seminar on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm in the ARHS Lecture Hall. Handouts will be available and parents/guardians are also encouraged to visit the MEFA site and click the “Paying for College” tab for additional information.  Questions?  Please email Paula Money at or Jennifer Cronin, Class of 2018 Guidance Counselor, at
