Have a wonderful summer!

Nov. 17 - 24, 2017

Greetings Laker Nation,

The Class of 2022 visited ARHS for our Showcase event.  Grade 8 students were treated to a performance by ARHS’s Jazz Band and to a grand tour with our Laker Leaders.  Students engaged in a scavenger hunt and left knowing that ARHS’s academic, social and athletic programming is Level 1.  Some great photos are on our site.

We cordially invite parents of incoming grade 9 students to the “Parent/Guardian Showcase Night” on  Thursday, November 30, 2017.   It is our pleasure to host parents and guardians of future and prospective students beginning at 6:30 pm in the ARHS auditorium.  The evening, hosted by Mrs. Paula Money, Guidance Department Head 6-12, includes a presentation regarding our academic, athletic and social programs.  In addition, there will be opportunities to:

  • Meet Administration & Curriculum Leaders

  • Forecast Student Schedules

  • Tour the Facility

  • Learn about our Grade 8 to 9 Transition Program

  • Ask Questions

If you have any questions about our “Parent/Guardian Showcase Night” or our student visit, please contact Mrs. Money at or by calling our Guidance Department at 508 947-2660 ext. 1168.

Student Council hosted its first ever Game Night.  It was an action packed night full of video game tournaments, board game tournaments and a various assortment of other games.  We had over 115 students in attendance and we were able to collect close to 200 canned goods for charity!  Special thanks to Cafe Roma and Dunkin Donuts for the wonderful spread of food, and special thanks to all of the students and teachers who helped plan the event.

The Art, Share, Travel Club enjoyed a fun, informative, and interactive trip to Philadelphia this past weekend. AST Club adviser, Ms. Lima, and co-advisers, Ms. Cabral and Mr. DeMello accompanied 19 of our students to the "City of Brotherly Love" to explore and gain inspiration for a mural arts project here at ARHS. In addition to a guided mural tour, the group's activities included visits to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Mutter Museum of Science Oddities, the Eastern State Penitentiary, a historical ghost tour, an "Escape The Room" challenge and a lot of sightseeing of course! The AST Club will use their new understanding of mural arts to collaboratively design and create four murals representing each of ARHS' Core Values: Achievement, Resilience, Honor, and Self Advocacy. Check out the school's homepage for pictures of the trip or follow the Art Department's Instagram for all the creative activities happening with the arts here at Apponequet.
