Grade 12 Wellness students attended a field trip to Skyzone Trampoline Park in Kingston, MA. The purpose of the trip was to promote an alternative form of exercise. The trip was divided into 2 parts; the first had students participating in a 30 minute "SkyFit" class that consisted of completing a body weight circuit while on a trampoline. The second was dedicated to free jumping on trampolines. During the free jump, students played either dodgeball or basketball or engaged in relay races through a foam pit. The students were extremely tired by the end of the hour and had a great time. Pictures of the trip can be found on the ARHS website.
It’s that time again! The Green Sneaker Run 5K to benefit the Eric C Johnson Memorial Scholarship will take place here at Apponequet on Saturday, May 20th. In particular, MA has a new hotline for students to call and online resources to help them better understand their financial award letters. Students and families with questions or concerns about financial aid award letters should call the Student Loan Assistance Unit’s hotline at 1-888-830-6277 or visit their website: www.mass.gov/ago/StudentAwardLetter. Here are links to helpful resources at FacebookandTwitter.
