Grace Couto, Class of 2020, participated in the Jr. SEMSBA Music Festival, held at Braintree East Middle School.  The Festival involved two days of rehearsals, followed by a performance.  Grace was a member of the "treble choir," a combination of sopranos and altos.  Grace auditioned for a solo in one of the songs and she was selected to perform it in the festival concert.  Well done, Grace!

SEMSBA is an organization of 33 High Schools and their associated grades 7-8, whose purpose is to "...raise the standard of, and to promote greater community interest in in Southeastern Massachusetts."

The “Cup of Destiny” was captured by Sean Marsden.  This prestigious Award was bestowed after a school-wide US History I competition took place.  Contestants rapped about historical figures and faced off in an unparalleled verbal battle.  Congratulations to all contestants who dropped mad rhymes while capturing the lives of significant people in our nation’s history.

Math MCAS is upon us!  All grade 10 students will engage in the Math MCAS on May 16 and 17th.  Students taking the exam attended a pre-exam presentation on May 12 during AO. Grade 10 students are reminded that breakfast will be served on exam days.

Physics students from ARHS traveled to Six Flags and participated in the theme park's annual Physics Day.  While at the amusement park, students explored the physics behind amusement parks by riding selected rides, making observations, collecting data and answering conceptual physics questions. This field trip provided many opportunities for students to apply concepts they learned in class in a fun and exciting way.  The trip was also a great launching point for up-and-coming units on momentum and energy. Thank you, Mrs. Mills, for making this trip possible!

ARHS’s first home Unified Sports track meet took place this past week.  Pictures of this event are on our site.   A great time was had by all!  Special thanks to Mr. Vital and Mrs. Brides for being our coaches.  More information about Unified Sports can be found at

Class of 2017 members received an important “End of the Year Packet” at a recent Class meeting.  Information about graduation and all culminating activities was included in the packet.  Please access a copy on our site or via the email sent to all parents/guardians earlier in April.
