Congratulations to Coach Gagnier and the Laker Girls Basketball team for an excellent season! The Lady Lakers rounded out with an in-season record of 15-5-0.
Although the Lakers lost to Abington in the second round of the tournament, the ladies, as well as their coaches, should be proud!
The Music Boosters will be hosting the 11th Annual "March Music" Dinner and Auction. This event, whose proceeds will be used to benefit the ARHS Music Program, will be on Saturday, March 18, at Boston Tavern, 58 East Grove St, Middleboro. The evening gets underway at 6:00 pm. Our Visual Arts display at The Great Ponds Gallery at the Lakeville Public Library opened with a reception last week. Stop by during the month of March and view the beautiful art work of students from ARHS and Old Colony.
All students in grades 9-11 engaged in Course Selection for the 2017-2018 school year. Course Selection cards are due back by March 10th.
Class of 2017 members attended a presentation for the official release of the Class of 2017 ARHS Scholarship Book. With over sixty entries, the Scholarship Book provides detailed information regarding scholarship opportunities and their application processes for students planning to attend a two- or four-year college, university, trade school or similar higher education program. For student viewing, print copies of the Scholarship Book can be found in the high school Library and Guidance Department. The Apponequet Engineering teachers are seeking donations of new or used LEGO bricks for use in our Engineering and Robotics courses. Any and all bricks will be helpful for students to create structures to incorporate into their designs. Engineering incorporates the engineering design process into a variety of challenging projects and Robotics uses the LEGO EV3 Mindstorms robotics kits to complete a variety of engineering design projects. You can drop off any donations, in a bag or box marked Apponequet Engineering, to Apponequet’s Main Office on school days until 2:30 pm.
Students in grade 10 seeking assistance with Math MCAS preparation are welcome to attend free tutoring sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:00 - 2:30 pm, in Room 101. Students in grades 10 seeking assistance with ELA MCAS preparation are welcome to attend on Mondays, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, in Room 113. Students in grade 9 seeking assistance with Biology MCAS preparation are welcome to attend on Mondays, from 2:00 - 3:00 pm, in Room 132.
