Greetings Laker Nation,
Congratulations to our soon-to-be-graduates in the Class of 2017. At our Senior Awards Night, we distributed over $112,000 in academic, athletic and civic scholarships. We extend a tremendous thank you to everyone in our community who donated time and money to support our students. Thank you, as well, to Mrs. Nicole Kashner for hosting this wonderful event. Should you be interested in establishing a scholarship, please contact Nicole Kashner at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tonight’s Graduation will most assuredly be a fitting send off to a great class. If weather permits, and graduation is held outside, please join us on Griffith Field for a 6:00 pm ceremony. If weather does not allow for an outside event, please be mindful that only ticketed guests will be admitted to the Gymnasium and Auditorium for graduation. If graduation is indoors, ticketed guests will be allowed entry at 5:00 pm.
A huge thank you First Student Bus Company, Ken Rezendes and our drivers. These fine folks donated their buses and their time so that our Class of 2017 could visit AES, FES and GRAIS to conduct a Senior Walk! Photos of this most excellent event will be available on our site soon.
Parents/Guardians of students in grades 9-11: An informational hand out containing a Final Exam Schedule and End-of-Year Expectations was provided via email. This handout, available on our site, was also emailed to you. Please review the information and contact the Main Office should you have any questions.

Attorney General Maura Healey launched an education campaign to help students and families in Massachusetts better understand financial aid packages offered by colleges. In particular, MA has a new hotline for students to call and online resources to help them better understand their financial award letters. Students and families with questions or concerns about financial aid award letters should call the Student Loan Assistance Unit’s hotline at 1-888-830-6277 or visit their website: www.mass.gov/ago/StudentAwardLetter.
