First Quarter Honor Roll by the numbers: Highest Honors - 24 students or 3%, High Honors - 51 students or 7%, Honors - 283 students or 37%, All Honor Roll Total - 358 students or 47%. Congratulations to all of our students who made the Honor Roll!

ARHS senior Leanne Kendall received this year’s Superintendent’s Award for Excellence at a ceremony this past week. This distinction, along with a $1000.00 scholarship, was awarded to Leanne as a result of her academic, athletic and civic contributions to ARHS. Leanne, who embodies our Core Values and Beliefs of Achievement, Resilience, Honor, and Self-Advocacy, can be seen in a picture with Superintendent Medeiros on our site. Congratulations Leanne!

Shout out to Officer Bartholomew and Sgt. Maltais who presented a lesson about self defense and personal safety to grade 12 Wellness students. Pictures of their engagement in training sessions can be found on our site.
The ARHS Band marched in the Middleboro Christmas Parade on November 25th and the Taunton Christmas Parade on December 3rd. These events mark the end of the Band’s fall marching season.
The Choir performed for the Lakeville Council On Aging’s annual Christmas Party, held at LeBaron Hills Country Club on Tuesday, December 5th. The Choir sang some traditional carols and showcased some of the music from their upcoming Winter Concert. Also at this event, representing the Band, was a woodwind quartet and a brass trio, performing a selection of seasonal music.
Apponequet Music Department’s Winter Concert will be on Tuesday, December 19th, in the Falcon Auditorium at ARHS. The concert, featuring the Band, Choir, Jazz Ensemble and Select Choir, begins at 7:00 pm.
ARHS’s Showcase Night for incoming and potential students was a success. Those in attendance learned about the current and future academic, athletic and civic programming at ARHS. The complete presentation is available on the ARHS home page and any questions you may have will be answered if you call the Main Office at 508 947-2660. We look forward to hosting parents and guardians of incoming and potential students at the High School Planning for College and Career Success Night on January 25th.
We are pleased to announce the return of our Laker Athletic Development Program. This no cost opportunity is an after school program, open to all students, specifically designed to enhance athletic development and ability. Areas of focus are speed, power, agility, strength and mobility. The program, overseen by Mr. Fyfe, runs Monday-Thursday from 2:00-3:15 pm in the Laker Fitness Room.
