December 13 Updates

Thank Yous and Kudos

  • Congratulations to the FLMS Boys Basketball Team for its two big wins over Berkley and Raynham this week.  They remain unbeaten on the season. Coach Mangini is very proud of their effort and teamwork.
  • Congratulations to the FLMS Girls Basketball Team for its victory over Berkley Middle School on Monday.  The girls played excellent defense, holding Berkley to only 16 points.

Important Updates

  • Attention all Singers, Actors and Dancers!  Auditions for the The Lion King are January 6th and 7th from 2:30-4:30 in the auditorium.  Both days are mandatory.  An information sheet can be picked up in the Main Office or with Mr. Johnson or Mrs. Blell.  We can’t wait to get started!!
  • Part 2 of Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on December 19 (6:00-8:00PM).  We are using an online scheduling tool,, to ease the process of signing up for conferences. A letter was sent home with the students last week explaining the process for making appointments.  If you are having trouble, contact the main office and ask for Chris Kenworthy who will be able to get you set up.
  • Thank you to all students, parents and families that participated in the PTO Holiday Fundraiser.  Your efforts will go a long way in supporting the important work that the PTO does for our school.
  • The 8th Graders visited Apponequet Regional High School today to learn more about all of the wonderful options that the school has to offer.  There was a presentation by the administration and staff as well as a tour of the building.  
  • The FLMS Chorus and Band cordially invites you to attend this year’s Holiday concerts.  The musicians have been working very hard to prepare for the show and are excited to demonstrate their impressive talents.

      Students need to arrive 15 minutes prior to their concert time.


  • The Friends of the Falcon group has rescheduled its afternoon Movie Event to December 16th in the FLMS Auditorium from 2:30 - 4:30.  We will be watching the holiday classic, ELF.  A $3 donation would be greatly appreciated.  If you would like to attend, please deliver your signed permission slip to the Guidance Office by December 13th.


FLMS Robotics Team

The FLMS Robotics Team competed in the UMASS Dartmouth Robotics competition last weekend. Our team competed against 23 other teams from Boston to Cape Cod in five robot challenges and presented their solution to this year’s innovation project which was to identify a problem with a building or public space in their community. After a day of competing, The FLMS Robotics Team won the Teamwork Award!  Congratulations to the team for a successful season!
