I will continue to use the One-Call Communication System to provide families with the necessary school cancellation and delay information. Please keep in mind that my decision will be based on multiple reliable sources, including multiple town contacts, and will focus on the safety for all children and adults. There are only 44 school days left and our last day is, Friday, June 22, 2018.
The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District voted to remain a School Choice District for the 2018-19 school year. The school district will provide limited slots in all grades K-12 and at all five schools. The district currently has 46 school choice students. All pertinent information on this topic including application forms may be found here on our website. The deadline to submit applications is today, Friday, April 13, 2018.
As the FY 19 budget season moves toward town meetings on June 4, 2018, we will look to your support as we provide appropriate resources to meet our growing educational needs. Our recent success will only continue if we meet our monetary commitment to “raise the bar” in both towns. The recent budget hearing presentation is now on the website. The next school committee meeting will be held, Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
I look forward to our continued drive toward excellence, as we raise the bar for all students. Please enjoy the spring vacation with family and friends. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call 508-923-2000 ext. 1703 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
