The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District FY 18 approved budget, a 5.9 percentage increase from the FY 17 budget, was presented at the annual school budget hearing, this past Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in the ARHS library (see "Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District FY 18 Preliminary Budget" slide show on this page). As we move closer to our town meetings, will need your support more than ever as we look to provide appropriate resources to meet our growing educational needs. Our next Regional Finance Committee meeting will be Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the ARHS library with this topic as a major focus.
We ask families for your full cooperation as we begin the important state assessment testing period for all of our children. It is important that students arrive to school on time, get some rest each night, and have a healthy breakfast. These items will help contribute to the academic success of our students each day. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation and continued support. This week we continued to include some practice exams with the computers to better prepare our students for that aspect of the new state assessment.
Spring has finally arrived and we only have 57 school days remaining for this academic year. Please be reminded our last school day is now, Thursday, June 22, 2017. I look forward to our continued drive toward excellence as we finish the school year on a positive note. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call at 508-923-2000 ext. 1703 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
