The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District School Committee and Administrative Team would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year ! This is a perfect time to reflect on all of our positive accomplishments to date and set new goals for the coming year. Our FY 17 preliminary budget will be presented next week and that will begin an ongoing dialogue with all of our stakeholders. Just a reminder that we will have an upcoming district “homework-free” opportunity during our February school vacation break to reinforce our commitment to balancing academics and family priorities. We are already working on our 2016-17 school calendar which will be presented to the school committee at the January 27th meeting.
As we examine our financial needs for the coming school year please refer to the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District Strategic Plan and all five individual School Improvement Plans that remain on our website: www.freelake.org. We will continue to work together as a school community for all our children in both towns. The committee remains committed to providing staff support and necessary resources for all of our children.
Our next school committee meeting will be Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the Freetown-Lakeville Middle School. At that time we will present a preliminary FY 17 budget to the school community. We are closing in on the half way mark of this current academic year. I appreciate your support for all our schools and I look forward to our continued drive toward excellence. Have a Happy New Year ! If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call at 508-923-2000 ext. 1703 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
