Come support the Lady Lakers as they play in the Division 3 South Basketball Final, tomorrow, March 9th, at Taunton High School at 10:00 am.  Tickets are $7.00 for students and Seniors/$10.00 for all others.

 

The 2019 Great Ponds Gallery exhibit reception will be held on Saturday, March 9th from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. The exhibit will display student artwork from ARHS and Old Colony.  Come out and support our art students.

 

Congratulations to Coach Zane Fyfe. He represented ARHS by presenting at the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association Clinic at Gillette Stadium.

 

Winter Varsity Athletic Standings will be presented here each week:  Basketball Boys: 14-8-0, Basketball Girls 15-4-0, Hockey 7-12-0, Wrestling 3-1-0, Track Boys 1-5-0, Track Girls 5-1-0, Swim Boys 5-5-0 and Swim Girls 6-4-0.  Please visit our site to keep posted on our up-and-coming athletic events. Cushman Insurance, Arbella Insurance and Officer Bartholomew are pleased to offer Distractology - a program to educate students on the growing issue of Distracted Driving.   Your teen is invited to sign up and take the Distractology challenge for free. During the Challenge, your teen will get a firsthand experience of how distractions interfere with their ability to react on the road, to see hidden hazards and to avoid accidents.   Distractology will be at ARHS from 03/18/19 to 03/22/18. To schedule an appointment for your student driver, please have him/her return the permission slip (posted on our site) and sign up in the Main Office. Space is limited. Prom tickets go on sale next week. The Prom, being held in May, will take place at Lake Pearl in Wrentham, MA.

Please save the date for our Spring Parent/Guardian Night scheduled for Thursday, March 14th. The evening begins at 5:00 pm with a 60 minute presentation entitled “Vaping:  The New Look of Nicotine Addiction.” Parent/Teacher Conferences run from 6:00-8:00 pm. An informational handout was emailed to all parents/guardians.

 

On Thursday, March 21st, ARHS will host its first ever Bristol Palooza with Bristol Community College (BCC). Interested students will complete the application process, schedule placement testing and work on the FAFSA with the support of BCC staff. All interested students received a detailed presentation, as well as an application this past week. Save the Date!  A College Admissions seminar for grade 11 parents and students will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 6:00 pm in the ARHS Lecture Hall.  Offered through MEFA, the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority, this valuable presentation will provide an overview of college admissions, including building the college list, college admission trends, the college application process and basics about financial aid. Families will receive a seminar handout and are encouraged to visit MEFA's website at www.mefa.org/admissions for additional resources and tools to assist in the college admissions process.  Questions regarding the seminar may be directed to Paula Money at pmoney@freelake.org   We look forward to seeing you there!
