Greetings Laker Nation,
Karina Jacobsen, grade 9, performed as piano accompanist for Assawompset Elementary School's Winter Concert on December 12. Karina is a member of the Apponequet Band, Choir, Select Choir and Jazz Ensemble. Thank you, Karina.
The ARHS Music Department, under the direction of Mr. E. Ledwith, presented their Winter Concert on Tuesday, December 18. Performing groups included the Jazz Ensemble, Select Choir, Choir and Band. The concert was excellent!
On Thursday, December 20, the ARHS Choir presented their annual "Choir Tour," performing at the other 4 schools in the District. We thank our musicians for sharing their beautiful voices.
A Holiday Hat Day was sponsored by the ARHS Administration. Each hat worn by a student or a staff member resulted in a donation to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
Student Council thanks everyone who donated to their holiday clothing drive. All donations will be given to the American Red Cross.

Attention Grade 8 Parents/Guardians: Please join Mrs. Paula Money on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the ARHS Lecture Hall for “High School Planning for College and Career Success”. This is a valuable presentation for parents/guardians of grade 8 students who may have a child entering ARHS for the first time or for parents/guardians who would like updated information on course selections and pre-college and postsecondary planning. Students, who will have the opportunity to learn more about ARHS and the course selection process during our small group sessions in March, are welcome to attend; however, the night will be geared toward parents/guardians. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Money at firstname.lastname@example.org.
