January 11, 2019

Greetings Laker Nation,

On Thursday, January 10th, the library hosted award winning journalist and crime reporter Maureen Boyle who discussed her book “Shallow Graves: The Hunt for the New Bedford Highway Serial Killer” with Mr. Solomon’s Criminal Law and Mrs. Rimbey’s Forensic classes.  Ms. Boyle gave students behind the scenes information to one of the worst serial killings cases that happened in and around our neighborhood and, to this day, remains unsolved.  Ms. Boyle will be returning to the ARHS Library on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 6:30 pm to discuss her book to the entire community; all are welcome to attend. For more information, please email Mrs. O’Brien at jobrien@freelake.org

Join the Laker Athletic Development Program.  This no cost opportunity is an after school program, open to all students, specifically designed to enhance athletic development and ability.  Areas of focus are speed, power, agility, strength and mobility. The program, overseen by Mr. Fyfe, runs Monday-Thursday from 2:00-3:15 pm in the Laker Fitness Room.  Please call Mr. Fyfe at extension 1217 if you have any questions. Come join us in building Laker Pride while building Laker strength!
