On behalf of the entire Freetown-Lakeville Regional School staff, we would like to thank you for all of your support during this challenging school year. Please be sure to take time during your summer break to safely relax with family and friends. The end of this pandemic school year is here and with summer approaching this is a perfect time to enjoy the nice weather. We all look forward to a safe in-person return on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.
Together the Freetown-Lakeville School Community made it to the finish line. Our last school day is next Wednesday, June 16, 2021 and is an early dismissal day. As our schools prepare for the final 4 school days, we continue to adjust our COVID safety procedures and protocols for indoor and outdoor activities, which included some weather adjustments this past week.
The FLRSD website will complete reporting on the COVID District Dashboard on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 for the 2020-21 school year. We will also include the final weekly town covid information from the State and from the Department of Education regarding COVID cases for all schools in the Commonwealth on Thursday, June 17, 2021. We continue to see declining positivity rates in both communities as we head into the summer season.
The FLRSD dashboard reported only one (1) new positive COVID case this past week impacting our school district community. Our 2020-21 motto of “Respect, Patience, and Flexibility” was put to the test this week with the added heat wave driving our decision making. The school district will continue to use the One-Call Communication System to provide families with necessary safety updates throughout the summer if needed.
Our last school committee meeting for the 2020-21 school year will be next Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the ARHS Library. We will honor the retirees and our agenda will be available on our website under Announcements. Please enjoy the last school weekend for this academic year.. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call 508-923-2000 extension 1703 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
