Raise the Bar

Welcome back to the start of another exciting school year! The first week is in the books!! Thank you so much for your continued support and cooperation as we work through our opening of school routines. Our pre-school and kindergarten children joined us on Thursday, September 5, 2019. The FLRSD current enrollment for this year is 2,851 children, which is up 41 students from last year.

The 2019-20 school calendar remains on our website for planning purposes. I will continue to use the One-Call Communication System to provide families with necessary school updates and district information. Our recently updated 2019-20 bus routes are also posted on our website. All buses are now equipped with 2 safety cameras in the front and back of each vehicle.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2019 many schools will participate in a moment of peaceful reflection. This event has become an annual tribute to not only those individuals lost on 9-11, but the many who continue to serve our communities and nation. This continued act of unity by our school children serves as a reminder of our strength as a community, state, and nation.

The Department of Homeland Security provided some helpful safety tips for the use of technology as our students return to school, please see the attached link for valuable information:
