Raise the Bar

The first official day of spring was this past Wednesday and that leaves only 57 school days remaining in this academic year. Our last school day is now Tuesday, June 18, 2019.  We have some busy days ahead with MCAS testing at all of our schools.  I will continue to use the One-Call Communication System to provide families the necessary school cancellation information. If possible we will attempt to make the decision as early as possible to allow families time to make necessary arrangements. Our primary focus remains the safety of our students and staff. Let’s stay positive with our spring weather!

The school committee voted to remain a School Choice District for the 2019-20 school year. Information is available on our website. In addition, the 2019-20 school calendar was approved. Please see the calendar for planning purposes for next year. The calendar is on our website.  Click HERE to go directly to the calendar.

The FLRSD FY’ 20 Superintendent’s Budget was adjusted slightly at our school committee meeting this week. The budget remains posted on our website, please click on the link below to view. The FY’20 budget request is $40,120,610 which represents a 4.83% increase over the FY’19 Regional Budget. We need your support more than ever as we look to provide appropriate resources to meet our growing educational needs. I will keep all stakeholders updated throughout the budget season on upcoming meetings and events. The next Regional Finance Committee meeting will be on April 11, 2019  at 6:30 p.m. in the ARHS Library.
