Raise the Bar

As we celebrate and recognize the work of Martin Luther King Jr. this long holiday weekend please remember his famous quote, "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education".  As a school community we must continue to work together for the future success of all our children.  Massachusetts schools continue to lead the nation in education (see links below).

The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District FY 20 Superintendent’s Budget will be presented on February 6, 2019 in the ARHS Library at 6:30 p.m.  We need your support more than ever as we look to provide appropriate resources to meet our growing educational needs. I will keep all stakeholders updated throughout the budget season on upcoming meetings and events. The next Regional Finance Committee meeting will be on Thursday, February 12, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the ARHS Library.

As we prepare for the first winter storm of 2019, the school district will continue to use the One-Call Communication System to provide families with the necessary school cancellation or delay information. School decisions will be based on multiple reliable sources. The safety of our students and staff remains my top priority.

Our next regularly scheduled school committee meeting will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the ARHS Library. As we close in on the halfway mark of this current school year, I look forward to our continued drive toward excellence.  Please enjoy the long holiday weekend.
