The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released the 2019 MCAS accountability results this week. This is the second year of the new accountability system and we will be reviewing and analyzing the two year comparison as we continue to improve the school district. Individual Parent/Student Reports should be mailed home next week for your children. The FLRSD received a designation as “not requiring assistance or intervention” and making “substantial progress toward targets”. Individual school and district results will be reviewed in more detail at the November 6, 2019 school committee meeting.
Please be advised there will be ground mosquito spraying at the campus schools on 9-16-19.
The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District will continue to use the One-Call Communication System to provide families with the necessary school cancellation or delay information.
Welcome back to the start of another exciting school year! The first week is in the books!! Thank you so much for your continued support and cooperation as we work through our opening of school routines. Our pre-school and kindergarten children joined us on Thursday, September 5, 2019. The FLRSD current enrollment for this year is 2,851 children, which is up 41 students from last year.
