The national election day is November 8, 2016. This will be a professional development day for all staff members and there will be no school for our students. The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School Committee joined a list of over 150 Massachusetts school boards opposing Question 2 on the November election ballot that would lift the cap on the number of charter schools.

The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School Committee joined a list of over 150 Massachusetts school boards opposing Question 2 on the November election ballot that would lift the cap on the number of charter schools. At the October 12th school committee meeting the board approved a resolution opposing Question 2 based on the funding and the potential negative impact on the children of Freetown and Lakeville.

The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District was designated at Level 2 as a district and at all five schools by the DESE. Dr. Marlene Correia, Director of Instruction and Assessment, made a formal presentation to the school committee Wednesday, October 12, 2016 on the district MCAS results (click here for presentation).

The Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District was designated at Level 2 as a district and at all five schools by the DESE. The state accountability system classifies districts and schools in Levels 1-5, with a 1 being the highest ranking. There will be a formal presentation to the school committee this Wednesday, October 12, 2016 on the district MCAS results. Individual student results were mailed home last week.
