The School Council is a result of the 1993 legislation deeming each school to have its own site based management. The Council's formal role is to serve as an advisor to the building administration. Our usual focus is on budget, policies and procedures and items needing input from all parties represented: staff, parents and community.
That being said, I am currently looking for a parent to commit to a two-year term on the Council. We meet the last Wednesday of the month from 8:30-9:00 in my office. If you are interested or have questions, please contact me via email ( lhunter@freelake.org ) or note through the main office.
