I've been enjoying teaching at the middle school for 22 years, currently in Language Arts and Social Studies for 6th grade.

My background includes a B.A. in Psychology, and an M.Ed. in Reading, with many additional courses, and varied experiences from kindergarten to high school! My outside professional memberships include the Massachusetts Reading Association, the International Reading Association, and the National Council of Teachers of English.

I have many interests, including, of course, family! I am a long-time classical violinist in the Fall River Symphony Orchestra. Three new friends and I recently formed Wildwood Strings, a classical quartet. I also enjoy church activities, reading, writing poetry, nature, walking, traveling, and meeting new people. I encourage my students to observe life through their interests, and "write it down."
