Pee Wee Olympics |
Pee Wee OlympicsPee Wee Olympics, our annual outdoor track and field day, takes place each June. This year's track events were held on Thursday, June 5, 2008. Field events were held on Monday, June 9, 2008.
Students are allowed to participate in up to three Pee Wee Olympics events, two track and one field. All events are practiced during the students' regular Physical Education classes in a Track and Field Unit. Much excitement is generated by Pee Wee Olympics as students attempt to break and make new records in the various events. All students have the opportunity to cheer their classmates on as they run around the track or jump over the hurdles. Scores are kept for each event and, at the day's end, the students find out which learning center has won for that year. The June 2008 Pee Wee Olympic games mark the 35th year we have conducted the event.
