C.A.R.E. |
The C.A.R.E. Program (Children Acting Responsibly Everyday), sponsored by our Guidance Department, highlights one positive character trait each month from October to April. Students are rewarded for demonstrating that trait. For more information, please contact our Guidance Department.
C.A.R.E. Words for the Academic Year:
October: Respect
Treating others as you would want to be treated. Understanding that all people have value as human beings
November: Responsibility
Being reliable and dependable; following through on your commitments
December: Resilience
Rising above difficulty and/or hardship
January: Courage
Doing the right thing in face of difficulty and following your conscience instead of the crowd
February: Caring
Showing understanding of others by treating them with kindness, compassion, generosity and a forgiving spirit
March: Compassion
Awareness of the suffering of others combined with the desire to help; having sympathy for others
April: Honesty
Honesty is telling the truth by admitting it when you do something wrong. Being trustworthy!
