Staff Appreciation Week
Staff Appreciation week this year will be May 5th—9th. The PTO would like to thank the staff for all they do for our children. It will be a very busy week and if anyone can help out, please contact Betsy Moquin at 508-644-5864.
Save The Date!
The PTO will be doing a volunteer luncheon this year in lieu of the mutual appreciation dinner. It will be held on May 30th at 1:00 pm in the Activities Room. Invitations will be going out soon!
Box Tops
Congratulations to Mrs. Huling’s class for winning the last contest. The new contest has started, so let’s see if we can all make it to Fenway. We have earned $2,426.47 so far this year! Thank you to everyone who has been clipping.
PTO Meeting
The next PTO meeting will be held Monday, May 12th at 7pm in the Volunteer Room (127). We are looking for people to join the PTO Board next year. The open positions are chair, co-chair, volunteer chair, volunteer co-chair, co-treasurer, corresponding secretary and recording secretary. The PTO cannot function without your help! Voting for next year’s board members will take place at this meeting. We will be discussing bus driver appreciation, volunteer luncheon and a few other things. Please contact Rebecca Diaz at 508-617-3083.
Playground Info
The Playground Committee would like to thank everyone who donated cans for their spring can drive on April 26th. The Playground Committee will be doing another one in the fall so keep saving. They are also still collecting ink cartridges and cell phones. Just remember — you are recycling and making money for a new playground at the same time! The Penny Drive has resumed and will be going until the end of the year. Every little bit counts so keep collecting and saving. The cookbooks are due to come in late May. Thank you for all your support. If you have questions, please contact Jeanne Richard at 508-763-8575.
Fundraiser
The Applebee's FlapJack Breakfast was a huge success. We were able to make $365.00 for the PTO, and 85 people attended. Thank you to all who attended and a special thanks to the volunteers who gave up part of their Sunday to serve: Mrs. Grasela, Mrs. Brierley, Mrs. Azar, Mrs. Murray, Mr. Frizelle, Mrs. Richard, Ms. Diaz and Mrs. Isaksen. We couldn't have done it without your help.
Book Fair
The Buy One Get One Free Bookfair will begin May 20th and end May 23rd. This is a great opportunity to pick up your summer reading books at a great price. Anyone wishing to volunteer please contact Alicia Leve at Levea2003@yahoo.com or 508-763-2741.
Congratulations to March’s volunteer of the month, Audra Imbert
